2nd YEARS

Rachel Harding
Rachel received her B.A in Psychology from University of California, Davis, and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Mills College. Rachel worked with children and families for eight years as an early childhood educator and preschool assistant director. Her research interests include perinatal, infant, early childhood mental health and trauma, and parenting practices.

Niharika Anant
Niharika received her B.A in Psychology and Sociology, and her M.Sc. in Counseling Psychology while living in India, as well as an M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University, Ohio. Niharika's research interests include the study of trauma interventions among minoritized populations and people of color, exploring trauma expression across the lifespan, early childhood development and interventions, attachment styles, racial trauma, evidence-based technological interventions for mental health, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Danna Torres
Danna graduated with her BA in Psychology in 2013 and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary's University in 2016. Danna is a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with school-age children, teens, and parents in the cities of Santa Clara and East Palo Alto. Danna’s research interests include examining neurodevelopmental disorders and adverse experiences (ACEs) among Latinx children and women.

Lana Batarseh
Lana received a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Chico, and an M.S. in Psychology from Palo Alto University. Her research interests include treating and preventing PTSD in vulnerable populations, health psychology, and evidence-based technological interventions for mental health.

Brianna Bettencourt
Brianna received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Arizona State University and an M.S. in Psychology from Palo Alto University. Brianna's research interests include child maltreatment, early childhood trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), early intervention, and attachment styles.

Sukkhmani Oberoi
Sukkhmani received her B.S. in Psychology from San Jose State University, CA. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Pediatric Behavioral Health. Sukkhmani has professional experience working with children for 6 years as a Registered Behavior Technician and an Academic Instructor. Her research interests include adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), maternal mental health, early childhood development, and childhood trauma.

Adriana Ruiz
Adriana received her BA in Child and Adolescent Development and her Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University. Adriana’s research interests include working with Latinx children and their families, examining neurodevelopmental disorders in children, and early childhood trauma and adverse experiences (ACEs).

Nik Neal
Nikki (he/his) graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a B.A. in psychology and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a M.S. in Health Psychology. Nikki is interested in researching the therapeutic utilization of gaming and exercise for adolescents. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her puppy “mojo,” spending time at the beach, and watching football.
